I've lost 20 lbs (~10Kg)
Ever since I moved from the USA to Colombia (South America) I have lost some weight. I am following a very simple diet which is balanced and easy to follow (The diet girl said "You can have that beer but you must balance it by dropping a carbohydrate from the allowance of eight carbohydrates per day") I am not depriving myself of anything but eating at regular hours and more often (six meals per day) I have also started going to the gym and working out (Nothing big: Just 20 minutes of biking, 30 minutes of brisk walking and then 100 abs... This is just conditioning...) At the USA I was very disorganized, ate at very odd hours and food of questionable quality (eating out just killed me... but that was my fault...) I hope to reach my target weight of 200 lbs by August 2007...

^^^ Congratulations. Keep up the good work! Keep up the exercise and remember to eat healthy and those extra pounds will vanish.

Sounds good. I've heard that six small meals a day is better than the traditional 3 meals. If you carry on like that you're going to be very fit!

Congrats. When I saw the subject line I thought this was a spam thread for a weight loss pill. Haha.
Having recently acquired a free mountain bike, I'm now in the process of exploring all the biking trails around my new apartment. There's a bunch. Hopefully some of this will help with my ever-increasing gut.Registered Linux user #270181

That sounds like fun Moe. I do my biking on a static bike at the gym which has some advantages (no rain, no bruises, no problems...) but I`d definitely would love to at least move from point A to point B running into a random animal or having the chance to see something nice. Drinking water does help a lot and my diet woman told me to drink at least eight glasses (16 oz/glass) per day... Anywho...

I think this alone has a lot to do with your weight loss! I'm originally from Brazil and over there 200lbs is a fairly hefty person, whereas here in the US all my friends seem to be above that. At 140lbs I'm the smallest person I know (I'm short to, so 140lbs is normal)! The food in Latin countries (this includes Latin America and some European countries, at least the ones I've been to) seem to be a lot healthier than here in the US.
As the the glass argument I will have to agree with the 8 glasses. True that everything you do needs to be in moderation, but 8 16oz glasses of water a day is not that much if you do any sort of exercise. I've read that you shouldn't drink a lot of water while, or right after, eating though, the water will dilute stomach acid and will allow some persistent bacterias to enter your intestines, which is bad!"Today you are freer than ever to do what you want, provided you can pay for it!" --Bad Religion
