Even though Thunderbird has good spam filters, I still get quite a lot. Maybe this is the price we pay for free Internet accounts? I could never get my Pipex e-mail accounts set up properly for some reason.

Do people with GMail accounts get much spam? I've been using Yahoo for years now, and the problem is getting worse.

My gmail spam has gone up dramatically in the last couple of months, but I think that's due to my friend using the "send to a friend" link on some website to send me some jokes. Before that I got 2 or 3 a week.

I've used Gmail for a little over a year now and very rarely get any spam. When I do, nine times out of ten it shows up in my "Spam" folder and I never see it. I think maybe 3 times in the last year have I seen spam in my Inbox proper.

Same here. Very little spam in my gmail account. A great way I've reduced on spam is to use a dummy email account whenever you register for something online. I have a yahoo account that I give as my email address for most things I do online. However, there are times when I need those sites to be able to contact me (amazon, for example) so I will give them my real one but I don't get much spam from them, just the occasional email saying they have products that they think I'll like.
