Hmmm not sure I am a geek really. But I do spend a lot of time playing Slash'em (a Nethack clone), surfing the web and chatting on IRC. I also spend a lot of time doing things which have nothing to do with Linux, so I'm a part time geek ... A tourist if you like.

I don't really call myself a geek, I just have nerd tendencies.

I work with Linux and try to be more and more innovative with it as the months go by. I like to play UT:GOTY and UT:2k3, as well as Starcraft:BW (Cant wait for SC2!). I also like to play any of the Delta Force games. I use a computer more then the average user does, for sure. Everything from a little bit of coding, to web design, and etcetera.

I'm actually more into partying and cars right now then anything.
    I praise Webmin and PuTTy!

I always felt like there were different types of geeks so even really non geeky stuff if you get caught up in enough can be considered geeky.

    Spoken as a true geek!

I'd consider myself a geek, if I can install Gentoo, I'm a geek!
When all your friends/neighbors ask you to fix their PC's, you're a geek.
If you have over, say, 1000 posts on these forums, you might be a geek.

Don't about geek but after 10 years it's getting really annoying. They almost seem to queue up till Friday night to ask me just to spoil my weekend

In college, I was the guy that people would come to when they needed their computer fixed but I've been using Linux for so long now that I've forgotten how to do some very simple things on Windows. Just the other day somebody asked me to fix something on their Windows machine and it involved removing a piece of software and it took me 10 minutes to remember how to do that. Oh yeah....Control Panel -> Add/Remove Software. I guess I have Linux to thank for people not asking me how to fix things all the time. Although, I am currently in the process of converting a Windows user to Linux and I actually enjoy doing that so maybe more people will ask me for my help with that.
