Wanted: dual language dictionaries and techniques
A person reasonably familiar with a foreign language's grammar can
read online newspapers, but is constantly looking up words. I have
written a sample program in which a word on a Firefox browser page is
selected by mouse slide and a certain bookmark is clicked, whereupon
the word's definition appears in a sub-window. Some things to improve
this are as follows. (1.) There may already exist such a program, but
I do not know it. (2.) I would like to know what good dual language
dictionaries for the Latin-1 character set exist, particularly those
without elaborate user interfaces; however, search algorithms for
particular languages would be good, for example, recognizing irregular
verb forms. (3.) There may be further Firefox techniques which could
be used. Please make suggestions.
