    drinking and driving

    My wife has a friend who is a traffic investigator with one of the police departments in Southern California. She mentioned to my wife recently that approx. 70% of the drivers on So. CA roads after 10pm have been drinking but are not necessarily legally drunk. Seems like an incredibly high percentage to me. Is this possible? Can anyone else confirm this number?

    Sorry but this thread has too much potential to go down the politics/flaming road. I'm sure everyone has an opinion on this but I doubt we'll see any resolutions other than 1280x1024.
