So Many Websites - So Little Time!!

If the first step is admitting you have a problem-I really have a problem. I love websites. I do not love all of them but I love the range of different websites available on the Internet. ( I have to also admit I have too many websites to visit to learn about Linux the way I should. )

I do not know how many websites there are but I imagine that some of you have sites that you visit frequently ( no porn, please ) and I would really appreciate some divergent suggestions.

A personal favourite is DamnInteresting.com. It's a great site though the articles have been coming slower the past while as they are working on their book. Definitely a good backlog of excellent articles there.

    So, how's the weather there?

I visit this site several times per day:

New York, New York (10001) Conditions & Forecast : Weather Underground

Note, however, that I've set it up for your location.

I usually check LivingWithStyle.com (a community dedicated to everything and anything). That is most likely my most frequented site during the day. The web logs prove it!

I spend all day visiting websites at work, but most of them are rather boring. What I do for money I won't do for love. At work I use the CLG site a lot: Communities and Local Government

It might seem corny, but I love the BBC's website. News, insights and music: BBC - homepage I ask for no more than this.

Sometimes a site stands out because of its creator's grasp of how to use the Internet as a medium. Though I don't like rap music as such, that doesn't mean that rap artists are stupid. Akira the Don is a UK rap artist with a social conscience and a lot of good will: Akira . I like what he has to say when he decides to stand up for what's right in his own eyes. He can seem a little confusing, but he knows what he's doing ...

It seems like a couple of lifetimes ago I used to watch BBC news on public television. There was a woman reporter whose voice and speech patterns made me swoon. For the life of me I can not remember her name.

    This article:
    http://www.lewrockwell.com/raskin/raskin21.html
is an example of why I read LewRockWell every day. The cartoons in GoComics and from Mark Fiore are also other favorites of mine.
I used to visit nature and science websites but I lean toward a lot of political stuff nowadays. Unfortunately that can be depressing and exasperating because as an individual I can not change a thing. However it is nice to laugh at the absurdity.
