How would you spend a holiday in beijing
I got a realy nice oportunity to spend litle over a month vacation in china this summer as my girlfriend is chinese and her family offered me a place to stay in their home

I've been here allready 2 and half weeks and so far we've travelled in 5 different cities (ning bo, hang zhou, xi tang, shang hai and nan jing) and now we are going to stay and see around beijing for the rest of my stay here (till 3rd of august). We have pretty clear plan where we are going to go visit, but I would like to hear where you would visit and what you would do if you were here instead?
P.S. Anyone have any experience about gp2x gaming console? Buying one from here if I just can find one is something I might do since I think it is litle more expensive to get it from finland..

I would drink a lot of tea and visit The Great Wall of China. Probably eat as much local food as I could get, and chat to local people in broken English ...

We visited in tea museum in hang zhou and there were some huge blocks made of concentrated tea (something like 2*3 meter) with some rather artistic carvings on them. And there was a good smell of tea everywhere
Great Wall is in our schedule for next week.
I get some chinese home cooked food every day since I live with a local family
Here I've been engaged by many school children, who seem to find me interesting sight. First they stare me from some distance and then come to say something like "hallo, nice to meet you"
And thanks fingal for one link you send me some litle over half a year ago to instructions of eating with chopsticks. That skill has been a life savior.

Go for the GP2x. They look pretty neat and can hold all kinds of emulators. Plus, it's powered by Linux
I praise Webmin and PuTTy!

That's what I thought too. I allso have some interest in learning to develop something for it my self too and I've read they provide the enviroment and some manuals for this purpose with it so...

Anyway I have to find the thing first. Might save me some 70 € to get it here instead of finland.
