Just joined and wanted to say hello to everybody. I've heard of this site from Lakshmipathi.

I have been using DOS and Windows for the last, um, 20 years. I have tried several linux distros in the past but couldn't make my way with them: either I couldn't install them, or they lacked (or didn't know how to) do something I needed, so I always returned to Windows.

Now I have installed Ubuntu 7.04 in the desktop PC and Xubuntu 7.04 in an old laptop and erased my Windows. For the moment, they work like a charm, so I think this time the leap from Windows will be definite.

However, I'm a newbie in linux, so you can expect zillions of questions from me

Finally, I'm from Spain - 46 years old - still young enough to learn (and help when I can)
