    how would that work? You still need to store things when the computer is off.

    Yes but if they ran windows what would happen when they keep crashing and need to be re-booted

    I actually had that happen once... installing MSDN 6.0. It asked me politely to reboot for changes to take effect, I said no, it asked 'are you sure', i said I was sure, then it rebooted anyway. I was like "wft, Gates? You are one sadistic mofo"
