I'm going to not play it now.

It's amazing nobody mentioned this game yet Nethack. You might want to try the graphical interface to it though Vultures' Claw

Okay ... I deleted my 'discussion'. You might also enjoy Powermanga. It's completely free under the GPL and doesn't use too many graphics resources. It has nothing to do with manga either.

I remember Unreal Tourney being praised for being playable on Linux. I'm sure there are better games out there now.. unless there is a new Unreal Tourney.

I haven't played games in a long time. After reading about a few of those games I think I'm going to start up again. The maps and graphics for that Cube Engine Game looks amazing!

Lol! I seem to detect cynicism there but in case it isn't, going into Second Life is like going into a large city... say New York for instance. If you are looking for hookers, sex, nude dancing and escorts, you can certainly find those things in New York. But just because someone says they are going to New York, doesn't mean those are the reasons they are going! You can also shop, visit with relatives and friends, dance, go to concerts, go to conventions, classes or seminars or visit with fellow Linux users and even just to see the architecture in New York. You can do these things in Second Life too. It's what you want to make it. The choice is yours. If anyone is interested in exploring SL with the Linux Alpha, send me a PM and I'll tell you how to contact me in world for a quick tour...

Of course, thats with about an hour of experience with it.
But it runs in linux and is free. Its a weird FPS/RTS hybrid.
