    Linux on PDA

I'm leading a development project for a PDA for a major PDA provider. I'm researching the idea of using Linux as the OS and what features / software to include. I would like to get your feedback/opinion.

The basic of the device are:
    - WiFi 802.11b/g
    - Bluetooth
    - Monahan processor
    - 320 x 240 touch screen (no keyboard)
    - up to 256mb FLASH w/ 64MB SDRAM
    - SDIO slot

My preference is to make this a totally free OS, but I'm sure there are complications there. Obviously I'm after high volume so I need to make the software solution attractive to everyone (not just the developer community).

I'm leaning toward the requirements of PIM software, desktop sync, productivey suite. However this has been done without a lot of volume success. Any feedback?

Sharp Zaurus runs Linux. I forget the company that made the OS.
