    I've always liked Robbie the Robert from Forbidden Planet. That film was way ahead of its time, and the robot had a certain charm.

    I'm with Ozar. I cannot believe Gort came in at only number 13 on the list!! He should have been at least number 2! That scene of Gort "waking up" and pushing through the lawn chairs to get to Patricia Neal still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up...

    I still think HAL 9000 should be number one. even though he's not a robot techically speaking.
