Community endeavor article on deb-toots

Hi --

calling all idea-(wo)men.* I am writing an article (first draft, as always) that I would like to be a community effort.* It's entitled "So, you want to run Linux?"* I have a zillion ideas for this article and I have an idea of the kind of stuff I want in it, but it occured to me that it would be terrific if there could be a sort of community effort here.* It's a typical machiner article -- opinionated and boisterous -- but no ********.

You all have ideas on this -- you all know and can appreciate how Linux is different than WIndows, Mac -- even the subtle ways, which are often profound.

I'm asking for you to read what I have written thus far -- don't complain that I dis Ubuntu -- I do, and it's staying.* But I don't dwell on it, that's not what this article is about.* I want it to read like -- ya, Linux is like this -- and I can do this with it, and blah...blah...blah.* Dig?

When I publish new articles I'll see at least 2000 visitors a day for about 2 weeks, then it drops down to the 600-800* daily-visitor count -- distinct IPs, real people.

I'm thinking of your inclusions to be like this:

For all that contribute.* Sure, I'll be selective, my site has a rep and a tone, but you don't have to be fricken Hemmingway.* *I have people tell me constantly to do -- X, but none ever put their $$$ where their mouth is.* Now's the time.* C'mon -- contribute.* Far more than I will be grateful.

Why is this in Latin? Is this a joke?
