Do you have a camera? I need material for my film

    Hi,

My name is Andreas and I'm from Sweden,
please excuse that my english not always is perfect.

I am a independent documentary filmmaker and right now I
am working on a project thats rather different.
Instead of picking up a subject and then start to collect material,
I will try to first pick up the material and then choose whatever
I find interesting to put it in the film.

This means that I first have some material to collect and that's
why I'm writing here and on other different forums around the world.
If you have a camera of some kind I am asking you this:

Would you like shoot something that includes yourself or things around you and then let me use it for this documentary project?
With "includes" I mean whatever you can come up with, anything.
This will not be some put-together fake documentary, just a film with different fragments from different people from different places.
ANY material of film or sound is in my interest, just remember that
you have to be the owner of the material.

If you think you can help me, or purhaps just have som questions to ask,
    I can be reached on:

    aopfilm@gmail.com

    Best Wishes
    Andreas

No disrespect or anything but that doesn't seem like a very good idea, I find I'm more likely to succeed in something if the perpose matters to me, you're not going to find something that matters to you by taking someone elses photographs then you're not going to do a very good job of it.

That said, I suspect this to be spam, so all that was a waste of time, but it'll still mean something.

I did'nt know these spam-trixes in forums and I have got a lot of
people telling me the same as you.
I will think of how I express myself more carefully in the future.

    my gmail is - aopfilm@gmail.com
we also have a hompage (under construction) - aopfilm.com
and I have a mailadress connected to that domain - andreas@aopfilm.com

The spam-filters on the server hosting our site, surftown, is horrible.
So I'm using my gmail, but if you not feel sure, send a mail to
    andreas@aopfilm.com and I will answer.

But you also write a lot of stuff I can't agree with:

"you're not going to find something that matters to you by taking someone elses photographs"

for me documentary filmmaking is all about finding things that matters to you
    in other people

But instead of making interviews, I would like people to "make them by themself". I think a lot of intersting things can be told in the way they choose to tell it.

    Thumbs up

I think your idea is interesting.

If I had a digital video camera I'd send you something.

If you're getting free footage from people I don't see what you could loose. I'll be watching your website to see what happens.

That's for sure. It would be hard to make a (good) documentary when you don't care about other people or the subject.

Your are very welcome to "spred the word" of this project,
it's not to easy to come in contact with someone without appearing
like a pervert or a spamer...
