Just noticed that the latest version of Firefox has a built-in pdf reader and it seems to be working well here.
Any of you using it and if so, have you had any problems with it?
Edit: I generally try to avoid adobe's pdf reader but still trying to decide if an included pdf reader with firefox is a good thing, or maybe not so good.?.
it appears that documents open with the new built-in pdf reader by default, but it looks like you can also choose a different reader if you want.

I was upgraded to FF19 today and have by chance already used the PDF reader. It seems to work fine so far.
It was due in FF17 but deemed not to be ready. It was available as an add on. I've been using it since then. It works well generally. Every now and then I've needed to download pdfs and open in Evince, especially lagre files.
i've been using the built-in PDF reader w/no probs. very happy w/it, been looking forward to ditching Adobe's plug-in.
I've used it to view a few things. Loads up fine with no problems, so far.
I'm guessing that it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that comes with adobe's pdf plugin, but so far I too am quite happy with firefox's pdf reader. It looks good and has worked on everything that I've thrown at it so far.
I think I'll wait and see how things go with it. My first reaction is to give it a pass until we know for sure we're not going to be seeing it show up in the next wave of pdf security advisories.Quote:

I view so few PDFs that I always hated installing a separate reader. So this is actually a bit of a benefit to me.
