OK so I'm old and strange things make me laugh!
Revealed: The most common passwords used online in the last year (and password STILL tops the list) | Mail Online
The most common default password is 'password' and lots of people don't change it like they are supposed.
I just wanna know how they got their hands on my list of preferred password!:shock::lol::shock:
Almost as bad are the strong passwords that people can't remember, so they tape them to the keyboard or monitor.
I know folks that use the very same password for everything.
The method I use to generate strong passwords is have one password such as
tf$H@umh95sad!R
It's complicated but as it is used everywhere it becomes memorable. What you do is, pick two characters and replace them with two characters from the website. Always the same characters, assuming that you replace characters 7 and 8 with 1 and 3 then for this site it would become tf$H@uln95sad!R
I would need a young finely tuned mind ( unhampered by mind altering substances ) to even understand that formula, Elija.

It doesn't matter if you write "password" down as it is only your starting point. But as it is used everywhere, you start to remember it.
