MATE Desktop on Red Hat & Clones
I was wondering if there was any effort in porting the MATE Desktop to Red Hat &/ or any of its clones??
I know you may ask why, when Red Hat is still a big user of GNOME 2 just like its clones or why not just use Fedora. But do i really need to explain it? lol I am not a huge fan of Fedora but really like Scientific Linux Fermi and would like to use MATE and some of its new features/ show my support by using the Desktop :)
I know the current issue is that alot of the MATE dependencies rely on alot of the later xorg software libraries, that isn't currently supported by Red Hat or Clones.
In short i am pretty sure i know the answer but i will double check, is it not possible to port all the dependencies and MATE as a seperate REPO without creating a dependency hell?
