Question What is the best distribution?

Hi,

I would like to know what is the best distribution to use in a old computer. I have a Intel Celeron 800MHz with 128MB of RAM and a HD of 20GB. Nowadays I'm using windows 2000, but I'm not so happy with the performance of my computer.

I've been looking for some information and I found the Xubuntu, but I don't know if it's the best choice for me...

Thank you for the attention.

Jonas

Hi, jonas.c. Welcome to the forums.

Different people will have different opinions about which distro best suits older hardware but you can take a look at this thread for some opinions from people on this forum. Xubuntu claims to run on 128 MB RAM but it may not perform all that well. Good luck.
