The silence is deafening

It's been quiet in the channel, and not many newcomers.. wondered why.

I'm there most of the time I'm infront of the computer, and if somebody asks a question I know the answer to I'll respond. Guess that's how most people behave in the channel.

What with everything else, I simply have no time for IRC. Plus, I neither read nor type fast enough to keep up in an active IRC channel.
I tried on Genoo IRC and those who were trying to help me got frustrated and abandoned me. Of course. It didn't help matters that I was using irssi during an install and had to switch between vc's 1, 2, 3 and 4 to get the info I needed to give in order to get a reasonable answer.
One of these days I'm going to give Gentoo another try. But not without a Gentoo Guru sitting in the room with me to shed some light.
But, I digress. I enjoy offering advice/info and gathering same from others. However, do to the time/skills needed to effectively engage in IRC, I'll have to limit my involvement to the forums.
