Search

I was having trouble with the search function, I was looking for 'ssh x' but I never would leave the search page, does this simply mean there were no results returned? Just a note.

Also for the awesome good news, I went to google and searced for Linux Forums and we were the first hit! (granted its in the URL, but still that means the PHR is pretty high!)

It was proberly load on ther server.. The search functionality is the most badly written thing i have ever seen, and sometimes searches bring the entire site to a halt..

Im going to look at rewriting all or part of it, but in the mean time please be patient with it, and dont press the search button more than once please

Haha. That's like telling us not to push the little red button...it always makes us want to press it more.

I've removed 2 of the queries from the search page earlier (the ones that i think are responsible for causing the entire site to lock up!), i will see how things go over the next week or so before deciding if i need to do more.

I guess it might be sometimes useful to type "search term site:linuxforums.org" in google to search the forums.
