Problem posting

I'm getting this error:

You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 15 posts or more.

The problem is there is no URL in my post. I tried deleting a few line that might have been perceived as a URL, but that didn't work. Is there anything I should look for that causes problems?

(I'm also trying to get my post count to 15, so I thought I would post this problem)

Interesting - did you not recieve the error when you made this thread/post for reporting this issue?

If not, apparently there is something in the attempted post that the software believes to be a URL. It appears that you only need a few more posts to be able to post URLs, though.

More info if you can provide it might help to determine the exact cause of the error.

Ok so I managed to post it. I deleted all but the first line and posted that. After, I cut/paste the rest when I edited the already posted thread. This did not give me any problems, here is the full thread.

I'm having problems mounting DVDRs into my dvd drive. I can mount CDRs no problem, if they contain both data or music. DVDs with data doesn't want to mount. Here is the error I get while trying to mount it.

joelcormier@ubuntu:/$ sudo mount /dev/sr0 /mnt
mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

Reading some other threads, I found that most people were asking for sudo lshw -C disk, so I'll post it here.

joelcormier@ubuntu:~$ sudo lshw -C disk
[sudo] password for joelcormier:
*-disk

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need more info.

I'm pretty sure that the modification that was recently added to the forum software to keep spammers from signing up and then spamming us refuses all email addresses and website URLs, so if your post had either of those, it would probably stop the post from registering.

That's probably it, and it caused the modification to think an email address was being posted.

Send a message via Yahoo to devils casper
I have just checked it. @ sign and email id works fine and do not force 15 posts condition.

www. and http:// forced 15 posts condition though.

Check the post I put above. I copy/pasted the post I was trying to put. There are no https. I'm not sure what could have caused it.
