[SOLVED] A few questions RE forum policy

Hi, just wanted to clarify a few issues regarding forum rules and policy as I'm starting to post here quite regularly.

Is advertisement of your own not-for-profit site allowed in any part of the board even if it's not a computer or linux related one?

I can't see my signature in my posts. Is this just applicable to me or is it invisible to everyone?

On another forum I visit HTML is only allowed in posts and sigs once you reach 100 posts (this is to weed out potential spammers). Is something similar the case here? Is HTML allowed at all?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Signatures and other Posting Permissions

Yes, new members must have at least 100 posts before they can implement visible signatures in their profiles, and note that the signature edit page will not show up in the Control Panel for users that have less than 100 posts.

This change actually just went into effect earlier today, and was in fact for the reason that you specified above. However, most links can still go into a user's homepage link category found in their profile. Certain type of links are not allowed there, such as porn for example.

For other posting permissions, you can check the Posting Rules in the bottom-left corner of those pages that have a posting text box to see what kinds of coding are allowed.

Checking the Forum Rules link that resides directly under the blue nav-bar running across the top section of this page and others on the site will reveal more details on what is and is not allowed on the forums.

Thank you for the feedback.
