I just received an email from my server colo company informing me of some planned network maintenance on the 13th of January, the relevant part of the email is below:

Planet Engineering will be conducting global network maintenance beginning at 01:00am CST (UTC -0600) on 1/13/2005, lasting until 03:00am CST (UTC -0600) that same morning. This work is necessary to install the new TippingPoint IPS systems. During the work, we do not anticipate any extended downtime, however, because fiber connections are being moved, customers may experience intermittent disconnections and possibly loss of connectivity for brief periods of time. Planet Engineering will do everything possible to prevent a loss of connectivity, but because of the nature of the work, it is possible that this will occur.

Specifically, please be aware that you may experience some difficulties accessing linuxforums.org during the short time period mentioned above.

I'll bump this message a day before the work is due to start as a reminder.
