Search function fully operational?

Site admin

Could the search function be in good working order? I have done some searches, it will come up with threads, but:

1. Some of these threads do not contain my search terms
2. The number of hits posted looks unrealistic; I got 29k+ hits for "server installation", which seems a bit much
3. Sometimes there is no "next page" at the bottom, but perhaps this is a rendering problem (FF1.0.7 on Win98).

Hope this helps

I have also noticed similar behaviour to technossomy's first two points.

In some cases Google is a better way to find stuff on this site than this site's very own search function

:-/ I'm fed up with fixing phpBB search, so i've taken the easy option this time and made the search box in the top right use google site search instead. Should allow you to easily search the site.
