robdigi Just Joined! Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 1	debian ppc - netatalk issue Hi there- I have debian "etch" installed on a 233 PPC iMac, up and running, netatalk installed and somewhat functional. I can connect to the debian box and transfer files using afp from my other machine running OS X 10.4.10. The issue is that the transfer speed is extremely limited when copying files from the debian machine to the os x machine. copying from the os x machine to the debian machine goes quite fast. Transferring a mere 8MB from the iMac to the other machine takes 10 minutes... transferring 20GB takes about 14 hours, where it took only 40 minutes to copy it -to- the iMac. Why am I seeing such a drastic difference in transfer speeds? What can I do to optimize things from the iMac side? Thanks!
