glibc-2.7

hello, guys.
tring to install glib library v2.7 on debian etch. run ./configure, then try to run make, but get an error "Makeconfig:84: sysdeps/../config.make: No such file or directory
The GNU C library has not been configured." what am i missing, exept fot the book? =)

are you needing that specific version, or just trying to install glibc in general.

if its in general then use apt-get to install

i just need late version, but 2.4 will do. how to get the latest using apt, please, step by step? cheers
