[SOLVED] vsftpd and DSL don't play well together

With my box behind a router with a cable-TV connection, vsftpd worked fine for internal and external users. Then I relocated and switched to DSL...suddenly vsftpd external-connection attempts time out...and don't even leave any tracks behind in vsftpd.log. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

best regards from North-Central California USA,

bezdomny

if you switched ISPs it is likely the new one is blocking the FTP port (20? 21? I don't remmeber).

*solved* vsftpd and DSL don't play well together

Forwarding port 20 (as well as port 21) did the trick. Thanks to SinShiva at Craigslist for the solution.
