Hello. I installed Progeny Debian 2.0 rc1 on my
(Linux Box)
Gateway Desktop Flex Case
Celeron 635mhz 256mb sdram 20gb hd western digital 5400rpm
CD-Rom , Net card, Dsl/Router ,
Driver: i810 (intel)
Card: 82810E CD-133 CGC (Chipset Graphics Controller)
Monitor: GWY EV500

And I never seen a debian distro work so fast and its under Gnome too. How can this be? The only problem is apt-get update && apt-get upgrade >>

I would like either testing or unstable sources and can't reallyfind it on debian's site. Thanks

you have to add the debian site to your list

nano /etc/apt/sources.list
and add to the bottom

http://http.us.debian/debian sarge/main contrib non-free
(may have to check debian docs for exact wording)

sarge is testing for now... for the future, you may want to change sarge to testing because when sarge becomes stable, testing will be called something else (did i lose you?)

exit nano with ctrl + o, to save, then ctrl + x to exit

then re-run
apt-get update
then apt-get install {{package name for program wanted}}

hope it helps... just starting with progeny debian myself.

as an aside, i haven't been able toaccess the progeny,com website for days now. are they in trouble??
