I have a stuck window

I've got a window stuck open in Knoppix. I started a limewire session, but it won't close. I've tried right-clicking and closing, I've tried Alt-F4, I've tried using the Window-esque 'X' in the upper right hand corner, but IT STILL LIVES!! I even opened a terminal and tried to find the process ID so I could kill it, but all get is

root@8[knoppix]# ps -al
F S UID PID PPID C PRI NI ADDR SZ WCHAN TTY TIME CMD
4 S 0 13908 13877 9 75 0 - 916 wait4 pts/8 00:00:00 bash
0 R 0 13920 13908 0 76 0 - 582 - pts/8 00:00:00 ps

How can I close this window without resorting to the windows troublshooting technique (i.e. - reboot and pray)???????

try
Code:
ps -a
to display the process listing, then kill limewire.
If the limewire window is still after killing limewire, then kill java vm too

no dice

didn't work. I still don't get the process ID

root@8[knoppix]# ps -a
PID TTY TIME CMD
13908 pts/8 00:00:00 bash
14715 pts/8 00:00:00 ps
root@8[knoppix]#

All that shows up is the bash shell process and the 'ps' process that I'm running.

Note: this didn't show any of the other apps I have running: file manager, Open Office, XMMS, Firefox, etc

As well, Limewire will not close if you are in the middle of downloading a file, on a waitlist, etc, etc. Ensure you've cleared all the d/l & u/l tasks -that might be it.

again...

Nope, I tried doing the ps -a as the user that opened the Limewire session:

Code:
root@8[knoppix]# exit
exit
knoppix@8[~]$ ps -a
  PID TTY TIME CMD
21205 pts/8 00:00:00 ps
knoppix@8[~]$

All I get is the ps process.

Limewire can be closed in the middle of any download/upload, so that's not the issue, besides, the window is all grey. If it weren't for the window title, you wouldn't know it was a Limewire session. It's as if the app were locked up, or not responding.

Thanks for everyone's input... any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Vergil and Chris....you guys are genius's.

I was able to see it once is lists with the -A or the -aux parameters.

I had to kill of the Limewire process as well as a java process to get the window to close.

Thanks to all for your help!!
