As far as I understand, DMG files are just images you can mount just like ISO or BIN/CUE, however you can't run them

Check this HowTo open .dmg file (Mac Disk Images) with Linux

i just tried it like this:
Code:
mount -t hfs -o loop MacOSXPhotoshopCS2.dmg /home/rhp/macps
and got an error:
Code:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/loop0,
       missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so
Any idea?

I get this same error message in mounting a dmg file after following that tutorial. Does anyone have any idea about this?

The problem is that you don't have HFS support on your kernel, sorry I have no idea about adding a module or something like that on Debian but I suppose you can build one manually using your kernel sources
