    Ftp server

    Hello everyone!

On the topic of FTP servers for Linux. I know that in windows there are programs available like Bulletproof FTP, which is a very stable and secure program.

I know Linux has ProFTP and WU-Ftp, and from what I've read, these are not very secure. Does anyone know of any FTP software, (Free or for a price, no difference) that would work in my Linux box.

ProFTP is secure enugh too but if you want a "very secure" ftp server try the vsftp (=very secure ftp)
Package exist for vsftp in debian repos called vsftpd.

    Hi

server processes run as daemon usually, the "d" means daemon.
