    Post Installation help

    Hi,
I have windows xp on C drive.I want to install Debian on D drive. But I don't want to change boot system,I mean I want to use windows boot.ini for the dual booting system. So that in any problem ,I can reinstall Debian again and so that I don't need to install XP again.

last time I installed redHat on the xp system and the boot system was changed. So when I removed redHat my XP was corrupted.I used Debian in C drive last time but I really faced difficulties to reinstall xp again on the C drive.

    Please help me.

When during the steps of installation for installing the bootmanager
choose the root partition of linux as the partition to install the boot manager
instead of the master boot record
    further refer to this

Booting Linux from Windows NT/2000's Boot Manager
