    i installed the rt61 driver from source and all went well. i still cant connect to the network. network manager was useless, so i removed it and installed wicd. still no connection, but it does recognize my network. when i do a dmesg i get the following; driver using /proc/wireless/net support, please fix driver. what didi do wrong and what can i do to fix it?

    thats what i was trying. im using wicd instead of nm. it connects to my home network using static ips. my router uses dhcp. but, i still cannot connect to the internet.
