    I got my ipw2200 wireless up and running on etch 2.6.18, now need to configure WPA

    Lots on the Internet, the deb wiki, etc...but was wondering if anyone here had any specific recommendations configuring

    /etc/network/interfaces,
    /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

    and whatever else...

    Any help would be appreciated

    Of course you can do that. But why bother? Just use Network-Manager, and none of that is necessary.

    If you want to do everything manually, than you must first uninstall Network-Manager (as it bypass /etc/network/interfaces).

    Then you will be able to use all those marvellous command line tools, like it was 1999
