    Exclamation Help with installing kdevelop3

    Hi,

I am newbie to linux and I am trying to migrate (all my coding projects) to linux. I asusme KDE to be the best IDE. So in the attempt to install it, I am having quite a lot of problems.

Basically I assume apt-get can be used to install applications. The following commands and output is what I have and I tried to get info by reading posts to solve the problems by googling out, but of no help. Can you let me know the reason & cause for the error messages and what can be done to solve them.

Kindly request help in getting kdevelop3 installed for me.

    ---------------------------
    when I use
    apt-get install kdevelop3

    I get

    Building Dependency Tree... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:

i dont know if this will help or not...

but however it is worth a shot...

    Code:
    apt-get clean all
or, you could try and use a package manager like synaptic...
    GAH!!!

synaptic also gives the exact output and error. So I assume its just a GUI which runs apt-get in the background ?

Nevermind...the Debian 2.6< which I had was giving many problems. The latest one(Debian Kernel 2.6.18-5) is super awesome and has nooooo problems. It was able to install Kdevelop with the package manager with just few clicks. TOTALLY ROCKS !!!!
