Me too facing with the same problem stating that there is a grub error 18
that is because i mounted my flash drive in to my hard disk while installation
on analysing the soloution for this problem i found that the problem could be rectified by loading a grub floppy and writing into its sectors the loader program which will include the list of the kernel space where the mounted os stuctures are read. my question is how will the grub floppy be created so that i can change my boot floppy to be the primary boot device,and of couse get this error18 out so read the actual partition table..
