    /proc

    Hi,

I cannot see the contents of my /proc folder in root(waiting continuously) and in user account can see /proc contents but text files like cpuinfo seems to be empty. This happens in file browser of gnome and there is no problem while accessing the /proc folder and files in bash. The permissions seem correct (as access from shell has no problems), I cannot solve this problem, can you help me??
    thank you!

Can you verify that /proc is mounted? Check the output of the mount command with no arguments. That's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

    Question gnome and /proc folder

It's mounted, as there is no problem accessing from shell. It is just in gnome.

Weird. Maybe Gnome is playing tricks on you. That's the only answer I can come up with.
