    Grafix Card Support for ATI mobility radeon X1300???

    hi there,

    after a lot of reading on distrowatch.com , i finally decieded on debian as my choice of linux distro. i will be installing it pretty soon, but before i do i have this some questions. i have used

    1. does the X Window System have support for ATI mobility radeon X1300? (cos i had an error when i tried ubuntu live cd, x windows system couldnt start)

    2. i realised i downloaded the 3 disk, debian-40r1-i386-DVD-3 from the mirror site so my installation couldn't start .so what is on debian-40r1-i386-DVD-1, debian-40r1-i386-DVD-2 , debian-40r1-i386-DVD-3? e.g.

    a. debian-40r1-i386-DVD-1 -- contains setup files
    b. debian-40r1-i386-DVD-2 --
    c. debian-40r1-i386-DVD-3 --

    the 3 dvds contains the system and all of the packages( programs, libraries, development files, documentations , etc)

    if you have good internet connection use the netinstall method.

    Either go for netinstall or download first two CDs ( or first DVD ) only.

    You might face Graphics Problem in Debian too. Ubuntu is based on Debian only. Its easy to install/fix Video Driver.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
