    Smile How to install a Geforce FX 5500 on debian Etch

    Hi i'm seraching for help, to install a XFX Geforce FX 5500 AGP port, on a Debian Etch distro.

    My Motherboard is a Asrock p4i45GV
    PRocessor intel Pentium 4 1.6 GHz
    512 MB RAM

    and every time that i try to boot in a linux distro doesn't matter which, the boot fails, and show me an error message, i have too a Intel integrated graphics controller, but i want to install Beryl or a window manager with effects and no matter how i try, nothing can works, if anyone knows how i can install that card would be apreciate, thanks

    You need to install the nvidia drivers. You may also have to disable the onboard graphics in your bios.
