Debian CD is not booting up.

Hey people! I need help here i have downloaded debian 40r1-alpha-netinst.iso.
I saved it on the cd as it is but it seems its not bootable.What can i do to install it on my PC.

How did you burn .iso image?
Select Burn Image to Option in your CD Burner package. .iso images are bootable by default.

Can somebody let me know what i need to do next, i have downloaded a file to /usr/local/src i am able to identify the directory i have made with ls which shows the file cycas3-en_3.80-5_i386.deb what do i need to do to install from here. Not sure what to do next does this have to be opened to access the tar files or can it be executed from here.

if you are using gnome you can use gdebi a gui for installing debs
right click on your deb file and select gdebi package installer
