    Debian CD is not booting up.

    Hey people! I need help here i have downloaded debian 40r1-alpha-netinst.iso.
    I saved it on the cd as it is but it seems its not bootable.What can i do to install it on my PC.

    How did you burn .iso image?
    Select Burn Image to Option in your CD Burner package. .iso images are bootable by default.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    if you are using gnome you can use gdebi a gui for installing debs
    right click on your deb file and select gdebi package installer
