    Laptop questions

    1) is it possible to disable the mouse built into my laptop.
    2) When i close my laptop i cant do anything, the screen is blank and i have to do a force shut down
    3) is there some kind of flash player on like adobe that WILL run on a powerpc.
    4) IS there a program like wine for powerpc

    For now that is it so thanks to whoever helps me.

    The only version of WINE for PowerPC that I'm aware of is Darwine, but it requires Mac OS X to run.

    Hi NadeMaster,

    I'm assuming you're talking about your laptops touchpad or similar? You could disable that by removing the corresponding section from the /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    Can you be more specific? What is it that you cannot do?
    Does the screen remain blank when you open the laptop?

    Lol, i accidentily made what i wanted a thread to be a post so you may have already seen this but i still need help

    Ok. Got my laptop working, now kai said something about disabling the touchpad mouse in etc/X11/xorg.conf which part?

    second with the whole laptop goes blank thing i shut the laptop, open it back up and then it is a black screen and i can not wake it up.

    third, i dont have any volume.......any way to fix it? speakers are built in

    fourth, i still need some program like wine or another version that will work on a powerpc linux operating system. Wine works with intel I only have 700 mHz cpu and 128 ram so please help

    ok, i really want some kind of emulator to play Red Alert 1 so if someone has something please help me. This is a windows 95/98 game for the record

    had you tried out commercial products like VirtualPc for Mac

    Parallels Desktop

    Guest Pc

    they are certainlly much powerfull than Darwine

    I really need something that isnt too powerful. i want to make some use out of this laptop without investing a whole bunch.

    By mouse built into your computer do you mean touchpad? If so that ain't hard but a script makes life easy. I made a script to do this job recently. I'll post a tutorial on how to do it just for you and link you to it in a minute or 2.
