hi everyone
i have a windows xp pc that i store data on 4 sata drives x 250MB
i replaced drive c and installed debian on it and its working great .
now if i conect any of the other drives the pc wont boot up .
if i boot up then connect the drives i can see them but cant access them .
i dont want to loose the data but the drives are windows ntfs will debian read this or do i have to format the drives and start again?

Try to make yourself clear , you mean by connecting drive it's HDD connected to IDE, Sata USB ?

Hi and Welcome !
You are not plugging in other disks correctly. Try resetting Boot Order. Linux Disk must be plugged in as Primary Master only.
