I recently installed Etch onto my laptop, but I could not get the wireless to work. While booting, I would get this message: "eth1 unknown hardware address type 801". I previously posted on another forum, and they said that I needed to get some firmware. However, I could get my laptop to work just fine with gNewSense (as well as some other distributions), so I don't think it is a firmware issue. I have not yet found a distribution that I like as much as Debian, and I would like to go back to using it. Thanks.
