    caracter problem with text console



    When I run X11 there is no problem with caracters. But under text console I had some troubles with mutt (or lbdb) to display french (é, à, ...) caracters.

    I think I have to reconfigure the system with french language. Can anyone tells how to proceed?

    what is your character encoding page?

    cat /etc/locale.gen

    may you need change it to french
    use
    dpkg-reconfigure loacales
