    /sbin/init missing

Hello Everyone....Everything was running just great but i couldn't leave well enough alone...now I get this when I try to boot up... :

    Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init

    BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-4) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
    (initramfs) [flashing curser]

I have tried a bunch of things without a complete reinstall I have some stuff I don't want to lose.

    Any hope???

    Hi and Welcome !

Have you upgraded Debian recently? Does it throw any other error message?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Hi devils_casper. thanks for your reply....actually i had deleted some things from a program that I didn;t think I needed...UHG... soooo it's spmething I probably did. No other messages. I am new at Linux and mot sure if there is a "reinstall" or something to resolve it.
    Regards
