    Everything gives Segmentation Fault

Half the programs installed wont run, i start them and within seconds get "Segmentation Fault". There are so many programs that do this but the ones i can remember are here:
    fish@localhost:~$ dosbox
    Segmentation fault
    fish@localhost:~$ xine
This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.99.5cvs.
    (c) 2000-2006 The xine Team.
    Segmentation fault
    fish@localhost:~$ vlc
    VLC media player 0.8.6a Janus
    Segmentation fault
    fish@localhost:~$ oxine
    Segmentation fault
This is by no means all of the programs that do this
    Info:
    I have debian ETCH.
    'uname --all' gives: "Linux localhost 2.6.18-5-686 #1 SMP Thu Aug 30 02:19:07 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux"
    'dpkg --list' gives: http://fish199902.googlepages.com/pkg.txt
i don't know what other information to give i know the above is a lot, but i don't know what to look for

Did you upgrade anything recently that maybe causing these problems? Sometimes segmentation faults are caused by bad memory so test your memory.

I haven't upgraded anything recently (or ever). I ran memtest86 but it found no errors, is there anything else that causes this?.
