    DFD distro from Debian

Ok so the title says it all i am making a distro from Debian. i thought this would be a good time to make my tech teach eat his words. Yet i still know this is going to be a long and hard journey filled with problems bugs and obstacles caused by my inexperience. Now first i want you to know yes i am only in grade 9 and i know i could be enjoying life with friends family and sports but i like computers so there. I also want to help enrich myself for the future. i am going to be using this thread as a temp support area for my projects.

    And now my first project!

So i have Debian installed to a 8 gig partition i have Gnome installed and working. So here is a question for the future so i don't start this with false hopes. Ok say i have a Linux distro and it is about 2 gigs all together and i want to compress it and make an installation cd. how do i do that?
