DSL problems on Etch
Hello. Just got my new DSL router from T-com and a user name and password. When I ran PPPoE-config, it refused to acknowledge there was anything on eth0. Then I tried roaring penguin's configuration tool, and everything seemed OK until I tried to connect with pppoe-start. Nothing happened, and the connection attempt timed out. The hardvare seems OK, since the router detected the ethernet port, and the ADSL light was on.
Thanks in advance.

Try using ifconfig and plumb it.
