    nokia 770

    Hello,
Since I always get such great support here, I thought I'd ask my question here!

    Well the question being:
I have a nokia 770, recently bought, it's based on debian linux or something

It can run avi rm mpg etc. But when I go to some site to buffer a video,
It won't work, it uses windows media player, on my laptop it just works, since it has windows media player(equivalent) installed.
How do I get this to work on my nokia 770? google didn't bring anything up

also, flash player is installed, but flash player movies won't work,
also can I install java? so I can play youtube videos?
    Thanks!

Unfortunately you are a bit limited with the 770. Anything that requires buffering will not work well because of the limited memory in the 770 (buffering involves saving bits of the file to memory for faster access). The same limitation applies to Java. I have a 770 and don't see it as a replacement for my laptop but as quick access in an emergency...That and a Sat Nav...I haven't tried to play you tube vids on it but because the version of Flash is only 6.X I doubt they would work too well.
The OS is based on Debian Linux but because it is considered an embedded OS, standard Debian packages won't work on it.
    Hope this helps.

    jup kinda thanks!
though you can expand your memory by 64 mb on your flash card.., this might help in performance
