    How can I shrink the SLED10 partition, and create the Debian partition, when there hardly any info or anything to show what it wants to do, also what are the 2 blank lines?

    I am pretty sure that the Debian disk only has fdisk on it for changing partitions.
    You need to use parted, it should be on your Sled disk.
    If not you will need to check out parted
    If you use the Sled disk, just go through the install up to the partitioning stage, resize your disk, then you should be able to install Debian to the new partition.

    but I wish to remove SLED10 and use Debian, so shouldn't it be able to just drop the whole lot, then put it's self on?

    Are you saying you want to remove SLED and install Debian only? You should be able to install over SLED, with the Debian install CD's. If for some stupid reason that doesn't work, then download Parted (as suggested) or Gparted, and use that to remove the partitions.

    well that didn't help, the parted disk I burned failed, the four Ubuntu disks I burned failed (apparantly there were no drivers found)(and I did follow the guides PRECISELY), they all failed, the only one that worked was the SLED10 Disk I got, and Debian disk I got from the same people who burned SLED10, and I can't get anywhere past the partitioning, I follow all the guides right, and I can't get a single disk burned right, even though I did it as the guides say, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!? oh by the way the SLED disk would not let me do anything becourse it want's to install, but I don't to install it, I want to remove it!

    also I have two Gentoo disks burned by people who do it all the time(failed) and seven disks burned by me while following the guides, and they all failed! I am getting so annoyed!!!! I just want Linux on my computer and to be able to go to any site without getting "taking to long to respond, please try again" or "can not connect to server at blah blah"

    now I am in Southern Queensland Australia, now please tell me the exact steps and choices and locations and sizes I need to get a working version Debian and to be able to get on the net and simply type the URL in and then it loads the pages in UNDER a minute, please I'm going nuts!!!, and please don't point me to another guide just tell me, I've plenty of guides and they all say, "choice the option that works with your computer", but I don't know what options go with my computer, I've been able to burn a disk and successfully boot from it and install it, oh and the router is a "D-Link, DSL-504T, ADSL Router" and our ISP is Bigpond

    What failed? The install part or the Burn CD part?
    If the Install is failing, try using some kernel cheat codes, like noacpi, acpi=off, you can use google to find more. If it is the Burn CD part that is failing, try burning at slowest speed and always select "burn as an Image", and do not make it a bootable CD.
    Sorry, but I know nothing about using Bigpond, I do know there are some options available in the kernel for Bigpond Telestra drivers of some sort.

    Maybe you have a bad CDROM/CDR? Are you seeing any error messages any where and can you post them here?

    OK well, during burning it says successful, and when I choose in Debian, Finish changes and install, it says no /root as been assigned, and when I choose undo changes, the only thing there is, is the top part that never changes, so I have to restart, then if I choose either of the blank lines it just returns to the same page, and the only options in Nero Express 6 are

    Drop down;
    E: HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H22N [CD-R/RW]
    E: HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H22N [DVD]
    Image Recorder [DVD]
    Image Recorder [CD-R/RW]

    Selection;
    Data: Data Disk, Bootable Data Disk
    Music
    Videos/Pictures
    Copy Entire Disk
    Disk Image or Saved Project

    and sometimes when I choose the ISO file, it says the something about the block size, along with two options, Correct and Ignore

    Did you check the sha1sums or md5sums of the downloaded .iso images before you burned it. this should be explained on the website you downloaded from. Always burn Linux .iso's as Disk Image only, and never set them to bootable.
